Gay-for-pay vs Gay Sex
Gay-for-pay is a slang expression used to refer to
actors,
porno-stars and other sex workers of (allegedly) straight sexual
orientation who perform homosexual acts on a professional basis. Gays
for pay thus may be featured in various kinds of gay sex video, photos
and pictures, act as prostitutes or otherwise play gay and engage in gay sex.
A number of Hollywood celebrities have starred in movies as gays for
pay. The list includes such names as Jude Law, Matt Damon, Keanu
Reeves, Tom Hanks, Antonio Banderas, Leonardo di Caprio and Russell
Crowe – to list just a few. The above are serious dramatic
actors
and so the movies they participate in are not pornographic but rather
conduct in-depth studies of the controversial matter of homosexuality.
True homosexuals and gays-for-pay differ in a great number of issues.
First of all, as it has already been mentioned, a gay-for-pay is not
necessarily always gay. On the contrary, such men are more often
straight (though it is always doubted if truly straight men will agree
to practice gay sex), not infrequently bisexual, or sometimes
transgendered. Gays for pay may also be included into a larger category
known as MSM
(men who have
gay sex/men who sleep with men). At that, it sometimes happens so that
gays-for-pay conceal their orientation for PR purposes.
Unlike real gays, paid gay sex performers do not choose their partners
and may even be not attracted to them. Yet again, more doubts are
raised, as gays “by vocation” would probably find
heterosexual intercourse repulsive and refuse to participate in it.
It is also believed that the phenomenon of gay-for-pay industry has
become so widespread as having gay sex with a straight man is a common
erotic fantasy of many gays. Thus, gay sex video
often shows scenes where heterosexuals are being seduced or forced into
gay sex.
On the whole, it should be understood that being gay is not simply
confined to gay sex relationship. Homosexuality as a point of
self-identification includes such concepts as love, devotion and close
emotional bonds which no money can buy.
